This multi-step treatment involves:

a deep cleanse and application of toner to the back.

followed by a custom exfoliation via either enzymatic peel or hydrofacial/microdermabrasion,

then steam application followed by extraction of clogged pores.

Once cleansed and cleared of lesions a soothing clay mask is applied followed by a pharmaceutically active moisturizer to protect the skin and further enhance acne clearance.

There are so many things you can’t do while your pregnant or breast-feeding including almost all aesthetic treatments. But a pregnant person can use a little pampering… so what’s safe to do?

The pregnancy facial at ArtMed is specifically developed to address the special needs of pregnancy. All products used for the facial are pregnancy safe and customized to the needs of the client’s skin.

The steps included in the facial are cleansing, gentle exfoliation, toning, serum application (to specifically address puffiness and water retention), a hydrating mask and serum/moisturizer/SPF to finish off.

No steam is used, and towels are warm, not hot as in a typical facial.

The spa bed can be adapted to various positions for comfort during treatment and a relaxing scalp massage may be considered if comfortable positioning allows.

Contraindications to treatment include high blood pressure (pre-eclampsia) or a medically complicated pregnancy.
