What is SKINVIVE™? SKINVIVE™ by Juvéderm is a specialized injectable treatment designed to improve skin smoothness and hydration. Unlike traditional dermal fillers that add volume or change the shape of the face, it is categorized as an injectable hydrator or skin booster.

SKINVIVE™ is a hyaluronic acid gel that is Health Canada-approved specifically to improve skin smoothness.

Hyaluronic acid is a humectant that can hold up to 20 times its weight in water. By placing it directly into the dermis, it hydrates the skin from the inside out.

Once injected into the skin SKINVIVE™ can provide additional local hydration to the skin for 6 to 9 months.

The procedure takes about 20 minutes. The skin is numbed with topical cream and then SKINVIVE™™ is injected as microdroplets into the dermis of the skin. This can be done manually or with a mesotherapy device. There is minimal downtime and the procedure is virtually painless. Most people return to their normal activities immediately, though minor swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection sites is possible for a few days. Optimal results are achieved within 2-4 weeks.
