Laser Resurfacing at ArtMed

The Return of the Sciton Contour TRL (Erbium 2940)

You asked, we delivered! Our original Erbium laser treatments were so popular that we quite literally wore the machine out! We are thrilled to announce that our new Sciton Contour TRL module (Erbium resurfacing laser) has arrived!

Why Full-Field Erbium Resurfacing?

Most standard aesthetic lasers are fractional (treating only 10%–30% of the skin at a time). The Sciton Erbium 2940 is a 100% full-field laser—providing complete, surface-wide coverage for total skin renewal.

  • Targeted Efficiency: Erbium energy is absorbed by water in the skin far more efficiently than standard

CO2CO2 lasers which reduces heat damage to surrounding tissue.

  • Faster Healing: Less collateral tissue damage means significantly reduced downtime and redness compared to CO2CO2 options.

  • Fully Customizable: Treatment depth is 100% adjustable, allowing us to combine deeper ablation on problem spots with lighter coverage elsewhere.

Full-field Erbium Treatment Options

1. NanoLaserPeel® (4–10 Microns)

A quick refresh for instant radiance.

  • Best For: Dullness, mild texture irregularities, and uneven tone.

  • Downtime: 1–3 days.

  • Numbing: None required.

2. MicroLaserPeel® (10–30+ Microns)

A deeper resurfacing treatment for noticeable skin transformation.

  • Best For: Fine lines, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, and stubborn texture issues.

  • Downtime: 5–10 days (depending on treatment depth).

  • Numbing: Prescription topical numbing provided for depths of 10+ microns.

3. Lesion Ablation

Targeted removal of raised skin imperfections via precise laser vaporization.

  • Best For: Benign moles, skin tags, syringomas, sebaceous hyperplasia, and fibromas.

  • Numbing: Optional topical or local anesthesia.

What to Expect During Recovery

Post procedure skin care involves application of Alastin Soothe & Protect Recovery Balm. As a simple rule: apply balm for 1 day per 10 microns of treatment depth (e.g., a 20-micron MLP requires 2 days of balm)

Sample Recovery Timeline for Face (20-Micron MicroLaserPeel)

  • Day 0 (Immediate): Skin feels tight and warm (similar to a sunburn) with a frosty or red appearance.

  • Days 1–2: Redness peaks; a light, bronzed micro-crust forms as old skin prepares to shed.

  • Days 3–4: Active peeling reveals fresh, pink, brand-new skin. Most clients return to work or light makeup at this stage.

  • Days 5–7: Residual pinkness fades, leaving noticeably smoother, clearer, and brighter skin.

  • Long-Term (Up to 6 Months): Deeper collagen production ramps up, steadily building firmness and softening fine lines.

NB- Treatments on the neck, chest and body are slower to recovery by a few days.
